A person named Konstantinos Dalassenos was a noted military commander under emperor Alexius I Comnenus (1081-1118), and appears in the work of Anna Komnene. He commanded the left wing of the Byzantine army in a battle against the Pechenegs in 1091, became a fleet commander and was dispatched against Tzachas, the Emir of Smyrna.
